FAQS

Why should I hire a professional organizer?

Everyone has a different reason for hiring a professional organizer. Maybe you need help getting started. Maybe you feel overwhelmed or lacking in motivation. You may lead an incredibly busy life with no time to focus on organization. Or maybe you are going through a major life transition and need a listening ear and some guidance. Whatever your reason, Talbot West Organizing is here to help.

Are you the right professional organizer for me?

Maybe or maybe not. Before starting on your organizing project, I will do an Initial Project Assessment in your space. This will allow us to meet in person and go over, in detail, what you are needing and what I can offer. Gaining your trust and being on the same page about your project are important to me as we make a mutual decision about your organizing project.

What is involved in your downsizing services?

As much or as little as you want or need. Maybe you need someone to come in and mark items that you won’t be needing in your new space. On the other end of the spectrum, maybe you need someone to declutter, remove items that are no longer needed, pack and provide move management. We can even set up and organize your new space. You decide which services you need.

What is your project set-up process?

We will start with an Initial Project Assessment. Once we have gone over your space and what you are looking to accomplish, you will pick a package (basic, standard, premium) and organization style (consultation report, work together, full serve). The agreement will be signed, a deposit made, and a project start date set. Talbot West Organizing will design a customized plan and then the organizing fun truly begins!

Are you insured?

Yes, I carry liability insurance.

Is it normal to be embarassed?

Definitely. Yes. Life happens and everyone experiences moments of clutter and chaos. Talbot West Organizing offers a non-judgemental and understanding space. We are all human and you will be treated with compassion and patience. My home isn’t “perfect” either.
